What a tour does for you

A Matterport model is not a video — it is a space you step into: look around, walk through, take measurements. On any device, no app required.

  • 3D camera on a tripod in the great hall of the Imperial Palace of Goslar, with murals, timber ceiling and rows of chairs behind
    Sales

    The viewing before the viewing

Prospects walk through your property before they travel — around the clock, from across town or across the world. Whoever books an appointment afterwards is no longer a curious browser but a qualified lead: fewer wasted viewings for you, fewer wasted journeys for your customers.

  • 3D floor plan of the Imperial Palace on a technical grid: three levels on the left, including the great hall and its seating, two further levels on the right, all with room dimensions
    Planning

    Measure instead of estimate

Wall lengths, ceiling heights, door widths — measurable directly in the model, based on the captured 3D depth data. Schematic floor plans are included; on request we also deliver the point cloud and BIM foundations for your planners.

  • Google Maps view of the Imperial Palace of Goslar: many blue dots across the site mark individual 360° photos, with the Google attribution line at the bottom
    Visibility

    Findable in Google Maps

The tour can be connected to Google Street View and embedded on your own website. The same capture works twice: as a shop window in Google search and as an experience on your site — more on Street View integration.

  • Vaulted cellar with rubble-stone walls and a wooden staircase, holding a monitor and information panels about the installation “Zeitpfützen”
    Documentation

    The condition, on record

A scan is also evidence: the state of a building before conversion, a handover record for rentals, documentation for insurers or heritage authorities. One day’s condition, retrievable at any time and measurable in the model.

What the result looks like

Four steps from enquiry to tour

From enquiry to finished tour usually takes five to ten working days — all you need to prepare is tidy rooms.

  1. On site or by phone

    Walkthrough

We go through your premises together (on site, or by phone using photos), clarify scope, restricted areas and the best time for the capture. You then receive a fixed-price quote.

  2. On site

    Capture

Scanning with the Matterport Pro3, position by position. Your business keeps running; we work section by section and stay out of the way.

  3. At our studio · Matterport platform

    Processing

We optimize walking paths, name floors and place info tags and links.

  4. Link · Embed

    Handover

You receive the tour link, the embed code for your website, floor plans as PDF and, if requested, the connection to Google Street View. Ready to share.

Frequently asked questions

Your question is not listed? Ask us directly.

What does a Matterport tour cost?

We deliberately do not publish flat rates: floor area, number of storeys and level of detail vary far too much — a retail store is done in one session, an industrial site takes several. Tell us the type of property and its approximate size, and we will quote a fixed price for the whole project. No subscription, no hidden costs — the hosting terms from the second year onwards are set out in your quote upfront.

How long does the on-site capture take?

That depends on floor area, number of storeys and layout: the larger and more complex a building, the more scan positions it needs. We work out the time needed during the walkthrough. Your business can keep running while we work; we move through the building section by section and agree the schedule with you in advance.

What about people and license plates in the images?

We plan captures so that people stay out of frame wherever possible. Anything that does end up in an image is made unrecognizable before publication.

Can I embed the tour on my own website?

Yes — via an embed code, just like a video: on your website, in property portals, or as a link in emails and social media. We recommend an embed with a preview image, where Matterport content only loads after a click; we deliver the ready-made code with the tour.

Matterport or Google Street View — which one do I need?

Street View meets customers where they already search: directly in Google Maps. Matterport delivers the full digital twin with dollhouse view, floor plan and measurement tools on your own website. Many of our clients combine both — here is the detailed comparison.

Who owns the model, and how long does it stay online?

The tour is produced on your behalf and for your use — embedding, linking and promotion are entirely up to you. The model is hosted on the Matterport platform. The first year is included in the project price; from the second year onwards we invoice the hosting fees so your tour stays online. This is not a subscription with notice periods: you decide again each year, and you know the terms upfront from your quote.
